Brow Lift in Moncton, New Brunswick

What is a Brow Lift?

A smooth forehead free of lines and wrinkles is an essential but often-overlooked quality of a beautiful face. Dr. Jayson Dool offers brow (forehead) lift procedures in Moncton, New Brunswick, to rejuvenate the upper face, erasing folds and creases resulting from aging and stress.

Brow Lift Benefits

A brow lift creates subtle but vital improvements in the appearance of your forehead. By tightening lax skin, this procedure reduces your visible age by:

  • Eliminating vertical "frown lines" and horizontal creases in the forehead.
  • Bringing the eyebrows up to a more youthful position.
  • Reducing a sagging brow.

How Does a Brow Lift Work?

Your brow lift procedure will require either IV sedation or general anesthesia. Dr. Dool will help you arrive at an decision on which method will best serve your needs.

Dr. Dool will make the incision for a brow lift behind your hairline above your forehead. He will tighten your skin and reposition muscle and fat to reduce wrinkles and, if necessary, raise your eyebrows. He will redrape and tighten your forehead skin, removing any excess skin. He will then close the incisions with sutures.

In some cases, Dr. Dool performs a brow lift endoscopically, which requires minimal incisions. Patients with more advanced aging will require a longer incision for their surgery.

Brow Lift Recovery

Dr. Dool performs brow lift surgery on an outpatient basis, meaning you can go home on the day of your procedure. After your brow lift, Dr. Dool will place a wrap over the surgery site to encourage healing. He may also place drains to reduce the accumulation of fluids. He will remove these at your follow-up appointment. Most patients have their sutures removed within a week.

You should keep your head elevated as much as possible and use ice packs in the days after your brow lift to control swelling. You may experience some bruising and mild asymmetry for a few days, as well as swelling that may last for two weeks. These symptoms will fade, and you will begin to notice your results as you heal.

Brow Lift Safety & Risks

Complications associated with brow lift surgery are uncommon. However, this procedure carries the same risks as other surgery: bleeding, bruising, hematoma (blood accumulation beneath the skin), wound opening, and the risks associated with anesthesia. Dr. Dool will monitor your health and well-being after your surgery in order to ensure your health and safety.

Complementary Procedures to a Brow Lift

A brow lift is often performed in conjunction with a facelift. In some cases, eyelid surgery can enhance your results by eliminating hooding and sagging. Many patients also choose to maximize their results with wrinkle treatments such as BOTOX Cosmetic.

Brow Lift Fees

The price of brow lift surgery varies depending on the exact nature of your surgery, as well as the type of anesthesia you require. Brow lifts can range in cost from $3000 to $10000 or more.
